Training Days (Wednesday & Thursday)

For the training days, athletes are grouped by age with coaches. Groups spend part of the day in technical free-ski and working on drills, and another portion of the day in a gate session on the race trails.

U12 and U14 siblings of qualified athletes may participate.  The siblings will be training in the same venue as qualified athletes so must be able to ski at a similar level.

Team Event - this event consists of a Team Qualification rounds followed by the  Team rounds. The results of the qualification round are used to rank teams Team bracket.

SL and GS - On Saturday and Sunday athletes compete in a SL and GS. The U12 and U14 athletes compete separate trails each for each competition.  Awards are given to the top-10 finishers in each gender.

The Francis Piche Invitational Event and Competition Guide provides a complete overview of the event and competitions.

Code of Conduct

Athletes will conduct themselves in conformance with the guidelines presented in the USSA Competition Guide. Athletes, coaches and parents will respect the venue, mountain staff, coaches, officials, race workers and racers at all times. Thank you.

Race Headquarters

Race headquarters is at the Gunstock Ski Club competition building located across the base of the mountain at the bottom of the Cannonball race trail.

The competition building is open to visiting racers. Masks are recommended but not required. The building may be used to boot up and store bags on shelves. Once the shelves are full, we ask that you store your bags in the designated area outside.

As you walk to the clubhouse from the parking lot, please follow the signs and walk between the Stockade Lodge and the Panorama and Ramrod lifts to avoid the beginner's area. Thank you for your cooperation.
